Interesting blog post on The Scholarly Kitchen. “As the scholarly communication environment changes, so does the monograph–and the nature of scholarship itself. A few years from now, what will these terms even mean?

Rick comments that we need to differentiate between new kinds of scholarship, and new kinds of scholarly products.  If libraries and monographs are the digital labs of the humanities it poses a fundamental question about who we should be working closely with and where we should be developing content and services.
